Combat Rescue in Afghanistan

Tintypes of his fellow Combat Rescue airmen in Afghanistan, where Ed was deployed as an Aerial Gunner on Combat Rescue helicopters, made in-between his combat missions.

These are the first tintypes of Americans in a combat zone since the American Civil War. A number of the original plates are part of the permanent collection in the Smithsonian American History Museum.
